All steel and nonferrous fabrications — detail work to 150 t weldments.
Our accredited Welding Supervisors lead a team of certified Welders and Boilermakers.
The fabrication shop the other six departments are built around.
All steel and nonferrous fabrications — from small detailed work to large structural sectionalised weldments — are carried out in a purpose-built 90 m × 30 m × 16 m high fabrication building, with workpieces up to 150 t handled under the dual cranes.
Because fabrication shares a floor with machining, induction hardening, fitting and painting, a weldment moves straight from the positioner to the borer to the paint bay — and every job leaves with a detailed QA package.
Fabrication plant & capacity
The plant that sets the fabrication envelope. Where a weldment lands inside these limits, it is built, hard-surfaced and dressed in this building — read it like a calibration sheet.

| 01Plant / process | 02Capacity | 03Typical work |
|---|---|---|
| Fabrication building | 90 × 30 × 16 m | Draglines, stacker reclaimers, silos, surge bins, structural steel |
| Dragline-bucket arch pits | × 4 | Bucket and dipper rebuilds |
| Large sheave rotators | 3 × Ø 5 m | Rope sheaves, drums |
| Small sheave rotators | 2 × Ø 3 m | Sheaves, fairlead assemblies |
| Shaft rotators | 2 × purpose-built | Cams, shafts, pins |
| Welding plant | Sub-arc · TIG · MIG | Long seams on booms, manipulators, rolls & jigs |
| ABClad hard-surfacing | Patented process | Wear reclamation — dragline components, dippers, buckets |
| Workpiece mass | To 150 t | Dual-crane lift · 12 m under hook |

Off the fabrication floor.
Real work, photographed in the bay and in the field — no renders, no stock.
Led from the floor, checked at every weld.
- Supervision — our accredited Welding Supervisors lead a team of certified Welders and Boilermakers.
- QA packages — detailed QA packages can be provided with all work completed.
- Integration — machining, induction hardening, fitting and painting on the same floor, 24/7.
